Twelve new bakers go spoon to spoon, competing in 30 challenges and doing their best to impress judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood in order to be crowned Star Baker. Inventive creations include everything from architectural biscuits to a gingerbread pirate ship, not to mention a checkerboard Dobos torte (a Hungarian specialty), towering pies and a national landmark made out of caramel.
